Assessment
A conversation, findings and a specific purpose.
Many health problems can make movement more difficult. At Amabilia, the conversation starts with the cause. An intravenous infusion delivers fluid or a prescribed preparation into a vein. Its purpose and appropriateness depend on the findings, its composition and the person’s health.
Individual assessment · clear purpose · informed choice

A conversation, findings and a specific purpose.
An explanation of the preparation and procedure, with informed consent.
Administration and monitoring according to an individual plan.
The intravenous route is considered for a specific indication, for example when fluid needs cannot appropriately be met by mouth or when a prescribed medicine requires that route. Replacing a confirmed deficiency depends on the substance involved and may require a different route. An infusion is not automatically preferable to oral treatment.
We discuss symptoms, existing conditions, medicines and expectations, and review laboratory findings where appropriate. Before a decision, we explain the specific preparation, purpose, expected benefit and alternatives.
Restricted movement calls for a full assessment guided by your symptoms. An infusion is considered when medically indicated, alongside rehabilitation and other agreed approaches in your care plan.
Before treatment, patients should receive information about the preparation, dose, duration and risks, and give informed consent. Bruising, discomfort, vein inflammation or infection can occur; additional risks depend on the ingredients. Fluid volume is particularly important in heart and kidney disease. Tell the staff immediately about any new symptoms during administration.
Fatigue needs assessment first. It does not by itself determine the ingredients of an infusion or establish a need for one.
The choice depends on a medical assessment and a specific preparation, with a discussion of benefits, risks and alternatives.
A list of medicines and supplements, relevant test results, and details of allergies or previous reactions to treatment.
